Power kites were invented in the early 1970s by Andrew Jones & Rey Merry who came up with the original Flexifoil Power kite, which is still the worlds best selling 2-line power kite today.

Things have moved on considerably since the invention of original kites, and now 4-line Traction kites such as the Flexifoil Rage, Blade, Ozone Cult, Haka, etc. and depowerable foil kites like the Ozone Frenzy & Flexifoil Sabre are now becoming more popular than ever.

Kiting has become of the fastest growing recreational sports along with kitesurfing which is the fastest growing watersport.
